Yesterday I watched the BBC "Talking Point" programme
which was about slavery, forced labour and the
trafficking of human beings. The "guest speaker" was
Juan Somavia, the Director General of the
International Labour Organisation.
He said (among many others) two things that struck me
as being particularly pertinent to Cardicis
"Things are until they change" and "when ...
communities get together, things begin to happen"
He spoke about how impossible some outcomes had
appeared to be before that we now take for granted.
I agree with Errol and Taran, so they may be glad to
hear that it is this issue specifically that I am
trying to address in my paper for the CSA panel.
Please wish me luck :-)

Cardicis subgroup to be there).
