The ALAC Users Forum on IDNs was very well attended. I was a bit
disappointed to see that there was very little input on IDNs (if any
at all) from the LAC region. Given that this group is focused on
multilingualism (wrt the Internet) I would have expected that some
sort of input wold have come from CARDICIS. The IDN discussion is
moving ahead with focus on the Asian and Arab scripts, with very
little input on the languages that are ours - french, spanish, dutch,
creole, etc.
If I'm wrong, please send links to the submissions so that I can pass
along to others.
