Diaspora as Social and Cultural Practice: a Study of Transnational Networks
across Europe and Africa

Are you a fluent speaker of French with a PhD in ethnomusicology,
anthropology, sociology or a related subject? Are you interested in music
and cultural movements in Africa and Europe? Do you have experience with
field work and semi-structured interviews? Are you self-motivated as well
as a good team-worker?

If so, would you be interested in this fixed term post, working for 3 years
at the University of Southampton for a research project funded by the Arts
and Humanities Research Council's Diaspora, Migration and Identity
programme, entitled Diaspora as Social and Cultural Practice: a Study of
Transnational Networks across Europe and Africa, directed by Professor
Ulrike Hanna Meinhof from the University of Southampton and co-directed by
Dr Nadia Kiwan from the University of Aberdeen.
