My proposal for the paper 'Inclusion in Synthetic Worlds' has been
accepted to be presented at Prato, Italy.
http://www.ccnr.net/?q=prato2008
I realize that CARDICIS has not touched on Synthetic/Virtual worlds
in the past, but they are the new frontier of technology usage and
the Caribbean presence is notably lacking. Latin America itself has a
growing presence in Synthetic worlds.
The major factor in adoption of synthetic worlds appears to be
broadband availability, but I am open to other thoughts along these
lines. Given that so few from the region - and likely even fewer on
this list - are participating in synthetic worlds, this is as good a
place as any to ask a simple question that may have complex answers:
Why are you not working with virtual worlds?
You can reply to me offlist, but since this is an evolution of
Culture and ICT, I believe onlist discussion may also be worthwhile.
Please and thank you in advance,
