Eurolat-IS is the name of a EU-funded initiative to boost Euro-Latin American collaboration in areas of application of Information Society Technologies. In particular to boost the number of concrete actions undertaken by consortia of European and Latin American companies, researchers and intermediaries, in areas of importance for social and economic development in the Latin American region.

This objective will be achieved via the implementation of a series of Thematic Action Plans. The main elements of this programme are as follows:
The organisation of a series of Thematic Workshops to be held in Latin America.
Leading directly to a large number of Euro-Latin American collaborative actions proposed to relevant funding sources, in particular to the EU IST programme.
Supported by a structured follow-up and dissemination campaign reaching experts, policy makers and the general public in two languages and across 34 countries of the Euro-Latin American partnership.
