daniel,

You are taking leave of your senses on the subject of Jamaica.

I can recall the late Friday night when I received calls from Archie in Jamaica in need of Sprint's assistance to configure the connection.

Guy DeTeramond's people from Costa Rica, sent courtesy of Saul/OAS, were in Jamaica to asssit, as they were later with Honduras. Here's some relevant correspondence. Unfortunately, I changed mail systems last year and did not save the actual connection messages regarding Jamaica, as these were sent about the time that I changed mail systems.

But, I also include the message about Honduras, just to show you that the REDHUCyT program of the OAS and the technical assistance within ALyc countries is a major force for bringing the Internet to the region.

EDITING NOTE FROM D. PIMIENTA: The following is a set of attached notes sent by Steve Goldstein in relation with Jamnet and Honduras. The notes show the strong involvment of the notes senders and receivers in the buiding of Jamnet connectivity.

To make
the log shorter I will just keep the headers.
