Where are we?
-------------

The first part of the Mistica project focused on the following goals:
- creation of a virtual community (VC) that respects democratic rules and
that shows the capacity of conducting a high-level moderated discussion on
the theme of ICT social impact.
- creation of a website that supports the project and the VC. This site
will evolve according to the imperatives of the project.
- realization of the Samana meeting that aimed at creating the conditions
necessary for the beginning of a collaborative process in the VC.
- a first experiment of Distance Participation (DP) during the Samana
meeting.

Therefore, the first part has been characterized by the following words:
COMUNITY OF REFLEXION, DIAGNOSTICS, EMPATHY, AND CONSENSUS

Where are we going?
-------------------

It has been 8 months since the beginning of the project. It is now crucial
to capitalize on our initial success, and to transform our VC from a group
of consensual thinking towards a group of plural action.

Moreover, we have to consolidate in a more organized manner all the
information of the importance for the group (clearinghouse). Finally, we
are launching the first experiment of methodology EMEC that should enable
the participation of various linguistic communities in our discussions.
Moreover, it should facilitate the flow of contributions, thanks to the
synthesis.

The second part should be characterized by the following words:
COMMUNITY OF ACTION, APPLICATIONS AND SOLUTIONS, COLLABORATIONS,
PLURALITY

-----
Therefore, the VC should change its rhythm, going beyond the diagnostics
and entering the phase of recommendations for the civil society. That
means: new challenges, new dynamics, and (at least we hope so) renewed
interest of the members (the number of which should increase).
-----

When will this changes take place?
Now!!!

How are we going to manage this shift?
Read your mail tomorrow...
:-)
