I thought a few of you might get enjoy this. Robin Gross is the
Executive Director of IPJustice.org, which deals with 'intellectual
property' issues in the United States, and has spent a lot of time
working with the defense of people who deal in Free/Open content in it's
various forms.
It's always good to have people familiar with the area working in areas
that we may eventually need help in.
I must admit, her view of Port of Spain and mine differ greatly. Perhaps
I have lived in Trinidad and Tobago too long. :)
Robin is presently in Chile. Working. From what I gather, she's also on
the Intellectual Property Caucus for WSIS. I'm staying in touch with
her, and I already correspond regularly with Lawrence Lessig as well.
Perhaps the both of them may prove to be good resources for us as we
begin encroaching on areas that may be landmined by TRIPs.
