I tried to do the short Kweyol translation last night but I just don't have
the words and Gregor is away in Martinique.
The English is done but I need to get it checked - Ayodele has agreed to
help, but life is conspiring against our both being in the same place at
the same time :-( And she doesn't have email at home because she still
doesn't have a land line - this is a SMALL island
Haitian Creole and Kweyol (I'm NOT going to try to explain about creoles
any more :-) ) are not identical but are mutually intelligible, and I
thoroughly support Daniel's point, which must be in a different message,
that to include both is a desirable addition to the theme of linguistic
diversity.
However tomorrow I will still see if I can get someone to translate
Daniel's problem paragraph :-)
A deadline for tomorrow (Thursday) evening for me please - and you're not
pushy, I'm slow :-)
