MISTICA: Re: The limits of automatic translation

Late in responding because I have other things to contend with...

I wrote something about automatic translation prior to the reunion, and
for whatever reason it didn't seem like people thought I had been thinking
about these things.

The idea is simple, robust, and allows for distributed information
accessible through one or more sites, with *real* translations encouraged
and automatic translations provided for brisk and odd (as demonstrated)
translations.
The date was 12/01/04

If you presently try the automatic translations on my site, you'll get
sent to the main page (if babelfish isn't overloaded). I intend to fix
that as soon as I have time to hack that out, but until then at least
people have something. The Creative Commons License I use allows people to
translate articles if they wish. And if they do, and they use a trackback,
the two articles are linked. Simple.
