Subject: Intenret, democracy and online activism

Hello there,
Does anybody have any examples, of how oppressed or silenced groups have
used the internet to gain a voice.

For example, I have a website for Afgan women, some environmental ones,
feminist ones, an anti-Mcdonalds one. I would like to know of any sites
which basically are being used to undermine state control, or dominant
ideologies. Or show that the internet can be used democratically.
Any help would be gratefully accepted
