Both Microsoft and you are wrong then ;-)
I think that no one model will die so I agree with Taran on this issue.
The propietary market will continue to shrink for a while, but it will
survive in very profitable niches, together with complex, sofisticated,
specialized hardware.
Weapons, Energy, Biotech, Health, just to mention a few of these
`niches'. I'm in doubt in regard to Telecommunications, though.
