Request for contact from Aid agencies operating in tsunami affected areas.
I apologize for the crosspost, but I'm at wit's end trying to figure out
who to contact. Bear with me.
I'm the project coordinator for Alert Retrieval Cache (ARC), which Andy
Carvin mentions here:
http://www.digitaldivide.net/articles/view.php?ArticleID=84
The NPR's The World ran something on us today, we were interviewed.
You can read about ARC here:

What I am trying to do is get a hold of agencies operating in the region
who might see some benefit in all of this. It's amazing how difficult it
is to find contacts to help people in Aid agencies... this system, once
out and in the field, can help coordinate assistance and aid. There are a
few details that need to be worked out, but none of them require money -
the ARC is available at no charge for aid agencies operating in the area.
It's a closed system, and can allow relief workers to send information to
systems in operating centers. All it requires are some people in the
operating center to subscribe to the list.
Feel free to forward this message to anyone you think might have a remote
chance of knowing someone who can use this system.
