MISTICA: Re: Human Markup Language : Utopia ?

While some are working on a Human Markup Language it is also important to
see what is happening in the new era of distributed computing. In addition
to the XML (eXtensible markup language) mentioned in the HML:Utopia
posting, there is SOAP (simple object access protocol) and UDDI (universal
description, discover, and integrate).

Together XML, SOAP and UDDI are designed to let computers fetch data from
each other, share processing power, allocate and share software tasks, and
locate online resources with speed and efficiency we could only dream of
several years ago. Both the business implications (subscriptions to tool
kits) and social implications (new ways of sharing and organizing) are
still to be worked out and understood.
