infoDev was convened by the World Bank, but is funded by a consortium of donors
and governed by a Donor Committee which is supported by an independent
Technical
Advisory Panel. It is staffed by a few Bank staff, personnel seconded from
other
donors, and some temporary personnel. The Bank does provide facilities and
support to the program, but the staff is very concerned with implementing the
directions provided by the donors. The Bank donation is significant, but other
donor contributions have been larger in size in recent years.
