free Internet access to its user base, which consists mostly of U.S.
Latino professionals and students. "Our goal is to help drive and
improve the rate at which Hispanics go online," said Edwardo
Martinez, one of the founders of the bilingual portal. 1stUp.com,
an advertising-supported free ISP, agreed to provide the Internet
