Abstract:
The first APC Betinho Communications prize has been given to the Max Foundation's Internet Global Help Program (http://www.themaxfoundation.org).

Thanks to this program, families of children with leukemia can access the Internet, in Latin America. The Max Foundation also links patients with resources in other parts of the world and wants to establish an online bone marrow registry for Latin America.
