SALSA: Cancelacion de la lista salsa@reacciun.ve

Estimados/as suscritos/as a la lista salsa@reacciun.ve,

Unas palabras para anunciar el final de <salsa@reacciun.ve> y el nacimiento
de <[email protected]> (ver http://funredes.org/salsa).

Funredes es el "owner" de esta lista de discusi�n la cual fue creada en el
1992, gracias al apoyo del CONICIT, con la finalidad de abrir espacios para
estrechar lazos culturales dentro del Caribe m�s all� de las barrerras
linguisticas.

En el 1994, hemos formulado un proyecto para introducir un componente de
traducci�n autom�tica en la lista, conscientes de que la buena voluntad no
iba a ser suficiente para superar barreras.

Desafortunadamente no logramos el apoyo para este proyecto y poco a poco
dejamos de animar este espacio que se transformo en un lugar casimente
let�rgico. No quisimos sin embargo cancelar la lista, guardando la
esperanza que un espacio tan necesario para la regi�n del Caribe pueda en
algun momento renacer de sus cibercenizas...

Llego este momento :-).

Les digo mas en una proxima nota...

Quelques mots pour annoncer la fin de <salsa@reacciun.ve> et la naissance
de <[email protected]> (voir http://funredes.org/salsa).

Funredes est le propri�taire de cette liste de distribution qui a �t� cr��e
en 1992, gr�ce au soutien du CONICIT, dans le but d'ouvrir des espaces pour
resserrer les liens culturels � l'int�rieur de la Cara�be, au-del� des
barri�res linguistiques.

En 1994, nous avons formul� un projet pour introduire un composant de
traduction automatique dans la liste, conscients que la bonne volont� ne
suffirait pas � surmonter les barri�res.

Malheureusement nous n'avons pas r�ussi � apporter notre soutien � ce
projet et, peu � peu, nous avons cess� d'animer cet espace qui est devenu
presque l�thargique. Cependant, nous ne voulions pas annuler la liste, en
gardant l'espoir qu'un tel espace n�cessaire pour la r�gion de la Cara�be
puisse, � tout moment, rena�tre de ses cendres...

Ce moment est arriv� : -).

Few words to announce the end of <salsa@reacciun.ve> and the birth of
<[email protected]> (see http://funredes.org/salsa)

Funredes is the owner of this mailing list which was created in 1992,
thanks to the support of the CONICIT, with the purpose of opening spaces to
narrow cultural links inside the Caribbean, beyond the linguistic barriers.

In 1994, we have formulated a project to introduce a component of automatic
translation in the list, aware that the good will won't be enough to
overcome barriers.

Unfortunately we don't achieve the support for this project and, little by
little, we stopped to encourage this space that became a nearly lethargic
place . We didn't want however to cancel the list, keeping the hope that
such a necessary space for the region of the Caribbean can, in some moment,
rise from its ashes...

This moment has come : -).
