Quien soy?

 Dr. Vassilys Fourkas graduated in Civil Engineering
at the Aristotle University of Thessalonica in 1993 and he then followed a
post-graduate research programme in the area of computer-simulation
techniques in urban planning, at the University of Venice-Dept. of
Architecture-DAEST/Italy. In 2002 he graduated in Doctoral (PhD) studies on
“urban cyberspace planning” at the University of Manchester, School of
Planning and Landscape, while he was funded by the Greek State Scholarship
Foundation (I.K.Y). The title of his PhD thesis is “The City in Cyberspace:
Europe and Manchester, 1988-2000”. He is currently working as Research/
Lecture Assistant and Webmaster at the Spatial Development Research Unit,
Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Development, School of
Architecture, Aristotle University of Thessalonica, Greece. His academic
and research interest focuses on the issues of virtual geography, urban
cyberspace planning and virtual cities in relation to modern urban
regeneration strategies and plans in European Union. Most recent online
