IV SEMINARIO INTERNACIONAL RITO Y REPRESENTACION
8 al 12 de enero, 2003
El cuarto seminario profundizar� en la teatralidad del rito, desde una
perspectiva multidisciplinaria y estudiar� diferentes aspectos
relacionados con su vigencia y presencia en el quehacer de nuestros
realizadores contempor�neos. El rito ser� abordado en su sentido m�s
amplio, donde intervienen la tradici�n del universo mitol�gico, basado
en los sistemas m�gico-religiosos y la participaci�n de rituales
profanos. Esta vez se enfatizar� en el CONCEPTO DE TEATRO RITUAL
CARIBE�O.
La estructura de Seminario incluye:
CONFERENCIAS
- Aspectos te�ricos. Teatro ritual caribe�o contempor�neo.
- Teatro caribe�o: or�genes y pr�ctica actual. Santer�a, palo monte,
sociedad secreta abaku�, vud� y espiritismo.
- El rito como esencia de lo espectacular en las artes esc�nicas.
Presencia en el quehacer de nuestros realizadores.
- Experimentaci�n de la posesi�n como t�cnica de actuaci�n.
- Teatralidad y ritualidad del carnaval y las fiestas populares. Teatro
popular, teatro de calle.
- Exploraci�n de la ritualidad en la danza caribe�a.
- El tratamiento del ritual en la dramaturgia caribe�a.
- Lo mitol�gico en el teatro para ni�os y j�venes.
- Funci�n del ritual en diversas artes.
TALLERES TE�RICO-PR�CTICOS
Se impartir�n talleres de actuaci�n basados en experiencias de las
religiones afrocubanas y el espiritismo.
MUESTRA TEATRAL Y DANZARIA
Presentaci�n de recientes estrenos de la escena cubana de car�cter
ritual.
MUESTRA DE VIDEOS
EXPOSICION DE ARTES PLASTICAS

The fourth seminar will deepen in the teatralidad of the rite, from one
perspective multidisciplinaria and he/she will study different aspects
related with their validity and presence in the chore of our contemporary
realizadores. The rite will be approached more in its sense wide, where
they intervene the tradition of the mythological, based universe in the
systems magic-religious and the participation of rituals laymen. This time
it will be emphasized in the CONCEPT OF RITUAL THEATER CARIBBEAN.
The structure of Seminar includes:
CONFERENCES
- Theoretical aspects. Contemporary Caribbean ritual theater.
- Caribbean theater: origins and current practice. Santer�a, stick mounts,
society secret abaku�, vud� and spiritism.
- The rite like essence of the spectacular thing in the scenic arts. He/she
witnesses in the chore of our realizadores.
- Experimentation of the possession like performance technique.
- Teatralidad and ritualidad of the carnival and the popular parties.
Theater
popular, street theater.
- Exploration of the ritualidad in the Caribbean dance.
- The treatment of the ritual in the Caribbean dramaturgia.
- The mythological thing in the theater for children and young.
- Function of the ritual in diverse arts.
THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL SHOPS
Performance shops will be imparted based on experiences of those
Afro-Cuban religions and the spiritism.
