Documental retrata las islas del Caribe

SANTO DOMINGO.-
Jos� Valle-Parre�o, escritor, cr�tico de cine y cineasta.
En busca del palacio del son, un documental que recoge ra�ces
culturales del Caribe, ser� presentado el 22 de este mes de enero en el
Museo del Hombre Dominicano.
El trabajo f�lmico es del escritor, cr�tico de cine y cineasta
cubano-puertorrique�o Jos� Valle-Parre�o, quien lo dedica a sus dos
amigos, el pintor dominicano Silvano Lora y el m�sico argentino Dante
Ferrer, ambos participantes del proyecto y fallecidos en el 2003.
En busca del palacio del son, que tom� un a�o y medio para su
elaboraci�n, es un documental de una hora, arraigado a las ra�ces de las
tres islas caribe�as: Cuba, Rep�blica Dominicana y Puerto Rico.
Este trabajo tiene un significado de hermandad musical, emigraci�n y
unificaci�n familiar, adem�s del tema central de la b�squeda y principio
de ese ritmo tan nuestro y tan caribe�o como es el Son y que por siglos
nos ha llenado de pasi�n, amor y sentido patrio, explic� Valle-Parre�o.
Seg�n sus palabras, en la ramificaci�n hist�rica, el ritmo del son y los
protosones iniciales, se dice por music�logos escritores como Alejo
Carpentier, fue llevado a Cuba por dos hermanas esclavas libertas,
nacidas en Santiago de los Caballeros en Rep�blica Dominicana. Las
hermanas Micaela y Teodora Gines agilizaron ese ritmo en incubaci�n,
naciendo despu�s ese mito del primer son..., el son de Mam� Teodora.
En busca del palacio del son, grabado en Santiago de Cuba, Borojol
en Santo Domingo y en San Juan Puerto. Rico, da vida a diferentes
versiones de la vida y obra de las hermanas Gines de boca de Peritos en
el tema como Jos� Millet de la Casa Caribe de Santiago de Cuba,
Crist�bal D�az Ayala, reconocido music�logo y Dagoberto Tejeda, tambi�n
muy reconocido antrop�logo y misic�logo del Instituto Dominicano de
Folklore en Santo Domingo.
M�sicos como Mario Hern�ndez, director del Sexteto Borinquen de Puerto
Rico, Xiomara Vidal, el d�o Madrigal de Santiago de Cuba, La Casa de la
Trova, Luis D�az y Don Peralta, este �ltimo fundador de los Soneros de
Borojol y Compay Segundo en el Monumento al Son de Santo Domingo entre
otros, aportan su m�sica a este documental de gran sensibilidad
hist�rica y musical.
En busca del palacio del sonest� pautada a exhibirse en supremier
p�blica el pr�ximo d�a 22, a las ocho de la noche, en el Museo del
Hombre Dominicano, presentado por Dagoberto Tejeda y Carlos And�jar,
director del Museo del Hombre Dominicano.

Documentary it portrays the islands of the Caribbean
IN MUSEUM OF THE SANTO DOMINGO MAN. -
Jose Valle-Parre�o, writer, critic of cinema and film director. In
search of the palace of they are, a documentary one that gathers

elaboration, is documentary of one hour, rooted to the roots of the
three Caribbean islands: Cuba, Republic Dominicana and Puerto Rico.
This work has a meaning of musical brotherhood, emigration and
familiar unification, in addition to the central of the search and
