Perhaps the more important question is whether the people who speak
these languages will be permitted to use the software at no cost; or
better, that they will have a choice of software to use the translation
facility. I do not understand why people should have to pay a foreign
corporation to communicate in their own language.
Further, it is difficult for me to believe that any one indigenous
language or dialect serves the Microsoft business need as far as market
share. This is a public relations endeavour, and a shameless one.
