Abstract:

The 1998 UNESCO Education Report reveals a significant degree of
illiteracy in developing, as well as in semi-industrialized countries.
In Africa and in Asia, the demand for teachers is constantly
increasing. Paradoxically, the governments are losing interest in
this domain, in spite of the recommendations of various international
authorities.
An url gives information on action of three organizations, which are
trying to find solutions to development problems, in particular of
Netaid's.
