2.
(non IDRC funding) To further explore
MISTICA’s capacities for regional
networking, dissemination of valuable
information and consolidation of strategic
alliances that strengthen the south-south
cooperation required to build a vision, from
the South perspective, of the role of ICT for
development and social progress.
- 2.1 To feed
exhaustively and maintain the MISTICA
clearinghouse of the social impacts of
ICTs in LA&C.
- 2.2 To
pursue and enhance the experimentation of
the methodologies EMEC and PAD for virtual
communities, which bring solutions to
information overload, provide with a
multilingual environment, and bridge face
to face meetings with on-line virtual
communities.
- 2.3 To
extend MISTICA’s virtual community in
the Caribbean region.
- 2.4 To
launch an adapted version of the MISTICA
project in Africa.
- 2.5 To
identify and establish strategic alliances
with different CSOs in the region, in
particular those organizations that, even
if they are not ICT-related, have
developed a strong incidence in public
policy scenarios.
- 2.6 To
identify and establish strategic alliances
with different CSOs in the South in order
to build up, in a participatory manner,
alternative visions that from the South
perspective, speak of the role of ICT for
development and social progress while
articulate proactive nodes capable of
affecting ICT policies at the global
level.
