La muestra mezcla lo religioso con el erotismo
La historia pintada de Hait�
El Museo del Hombre Dominicano presenta una colectiva de arte
en la que se narra parte de la trayectoria y cultura de ese pa�s
        
Una vez abandone el Museo del Hombre Dominicano, se prev� que parte de
esta muestra viaje a Canad� y Europa.
     
Asumen lo que son, su origen, su pasado. S�lo as� podr�n ostentar su
presente. Todos ellos intentan desempolvar los a�os para rendir un
homenaje a quienes le dieron un nombre, a sus h�roes, a la sangre
derramada, a sus muertos. Hablan de un antes sin despu�s.
  
De penas, de tristezas, de humor y amor, de sexo, de vida. Es �Heritage:
homenaje a los ancestros�, una colectiva de arte haitiano que se exhibe
por ocho d�as en el Museo del Hombre Dominicano. Abil Peralta Ag�ero, su
curador, cuenta que se trata de �un documental pict�rico que pretende
narrar la historia de un pueblo, sus cosas y su mundo�. Seg�n �l, la
idea que ten�an los artistas a la hora de montarla era �hacerse
int�rpretes de su realidad�.
  
De esa forma, en ocasiones con ciertas cargas de humor y detalles de la
cotidianidad popular, van narrando su historia, desde el asentamiento de
los esclavos haitianos hasta el per�odo del militarismo como sistema
gobernante. Ironiza, juega, sin la intenci�n de burlarse, con el pasado.
Frantz Mosanto, uno de los artistas que componen la muestra, satiriza la
figura de Duvalier present�ndolo, en un surrealismo figurativo, con
forma de gato.
  
Pero �Heritage� tambi�n es misticismo. Parte de ella se concentra
profundamente en los rituales de vud�. All� las ceremonias, los tambores
y dem�s s�mbolos religiosos se mezclan con el erotismo propio del arte
haitiano, para crear, seg�n explica su curador, �una expresi�n m�gico
religiosa y una simbolog�a pr�xima al misterio de lo superior�.
  
En esa b�squeda por acercarse a lo desconocido queda al descubierto la
influencia que ejerce la religi�n sobre la expresi�n art�stica haitiana,
incluso en los creadores contempor�neos. �En la pl�stica haitiana, el
vud�, como religi�n, se convierte en cierto modo en el pensamiento
art�stico de los creadores�, se�ala Peralta Ag�ero. A ello tambi�n se
suma una serie de banderas aleg�ricas al vud�, realizadas por varios
artistas an�nimos.
  
Adem�s de lo oculto, la exhibici�n, que precede al proyecto �Fraternidad
Caribe�a� que se mont� en el mismo museo y que reuni� a pintores
cubanos, haitianos y dominicanos, explora lo social en la cultura
haitiana. Un ejemplo de ello son las obras presentadas por Pierre Louis
Yvon, en las que toma a la mujer como protagonista, al hablar del papel
que tuvieron luego de la abolici�n de la esclavitud. Se trata de piernas
largas, descalzas, de pie, sobre la tierra h�meda, y a veces calentadas
por el sol.
  
Una vez abandone el museo, se prev� que parte de esta muestra viaje a
Canad� y Europa. Abil Peralta se�ala que el inter�s es, adem�s,
promocionar la artesan�a haitiana alrededor del mundo no s�lo por su
valor est�tico, sino que tambi�n por �su investigaci�n antropol�gica,
sociol�gica, �tnica y cultural. Una riqueza cada vez m�s creciente�,
