Very approximative result, representing an English/French ratio in the region of 22 and French/Spanish ration in the region of 2,4.

AltaVista comparative measurements of the quantity of names of culturally representative individuals on the web pages: nearly 500 persons distributed among 13 categories. The result, subjective, shows a quite important presence of the French-speaking culture, in comparison with north-american, in areas where the culture and the trade are not confused.

The «empty set complement method» applied to AltaVista gives a rough idea of the presence of languages. It is derived from the AltaVista languages recognition algorithm. Critic evaluation of the Alis Technologies research results. French continues progress slowly, and Spanish is now very close to French.
